FAQ

Everything you'd want to ask before switching.

Real questions from nonprofits and churches — answered honestly.

Is GiveKo really 100% free?

Yes. Nonprofits and churches pay nothing — no monthly fee, no per-transaction fee, no payment processing fee. We're funded entirely by voluntary tips donors can add at checkout.

How do you pay for card processing then?

GiveKo covers all card processing costs from the tips donors leave. When a donor gives $100 and adds a small optional tip, the tip covers the ~3% processor cost so you still receive the full $100.

What if a donor tips $0?

Nothing changes. You still receive 100% of their donation. Tips are always optional and clearly labeled as going to GiveKo, not to the nonprofit.

Are tax receipts compliant?

Yes. Every donation triggers an automatic, itemized receipt with your organization's info and tax ID. Year-end summaries are compiled and emailed to every donor with one click.

Do we own our donor data?

Always. Export your full donor list, giving history, and campaign data any time in one click. There's no lock-in.

Can we switch from another platform?

Yes — and we'll help. Our team will import your existing donors and recurring plans for free during onboarding.

Is there a limit on donations or donors?

No. Unlimited donations, unlimited donors, unlimited campaigns, unlimited team seats. Really.

Can churches manage weekly tithes?

Yes. Members can set up weekly, biweekly, or monthly recurring tithes and assign gifts to specific offering categories like Missions or Building Fund.

Do you sell donor data or run ads?

No, and we never will. Voluntary donor tips are our only source of revenue.

What if you go out of business?

Your data is yours. You can export everything at any time, and we'd give ample notice and a full export before any shutdown.
